Registering a business in Quebec: what you need to know
Registration means listing an existing business — for example a federally incorporated company (Canada Inc.) or one incorporated in another province — with the Quebec Enterprise Registrar (REQ) so it can carry on its activities in Quebec in full compliance. The business then receives its Quebec enterprise number (NEQ), required for most Quebec administrative and tax procedures.

Who must register in Quebec?

What is the difference between incorporation and registration?

What is the NEQ?
